Gabe Perla joins St. Andrew’s as a math teacher, assistant tennis coach, and assistant indoor track coach. Gabe is from Cleveland, Ohio, and graduated from Vanderbilt University (Nashville, Tenn.) in 2023 with degrees in mathematics and environment and sustainability studies. Following graduation, Gabe worked at The Island School on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas. In this role, Gabe taught math and sustainable systems classes and served as a dorm head.

Gabe went to and worked at summer camp for many summers growing up, and was drawn in 2024 to the strong all-boarding educational environment at St. Andrew’s.

In his free time, Gabe enjoys playing music and all forms of exercise. Gabe enjoys the outdoors on the St. Andrew’s campus through exploring running trails, playing tennis, and swimming in the pond.
