Erin grew up in New Hampshire and has never let go of her love of snow and winter.

She earned a BA in Comparative Literature from the University of Chicago, where she studied both classics and Russian literature. Erin was a four-year athlete on the University of Chicago’s crew team and served as Vice President of the team for a year. She also holds an MA in Classics from the University of Georgia.

Prior to St. Andrew’s, Erin taught for three years at The Gunston School in Centreville, Maryland, where she also served as the novice and then head crew coach. In the summers, Erin teaches classical mythology and coaches crew at Phillips Exeter Academy’s summer program.

At St. Andrew’s, Erin teaches Latin and ancient Greek, coaches girls cross-country and crew, and lives on Moss Annex. In her free time, Erin loves reading, practicing yoga, cooking and baking, traveling, and spending as much time as possible outdoors—biking, running, skiing, hiking, and camping. Erin also loves learning languages and reading about obscure linguistic terms.
