We are looking forward to welcoming you to campus for Parents Weekend 2021!
Although a COVID-compliant version of Parents Weekend is going to be a new experience for all of us, we are working to make the weekend as open as possible for all parents. Please RSVP and indicate your arrival time using the form below at your earliest convenience. Registration for parent-teacher conferences and tickets to individual arts events will open in mid-October; see the protocols tab below for further details.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Director of Parent Engagement Bernadette Devine at bdevine@standrews-de.org.

Arrival Testing Requirement
All visitors—regardless of age, vaccination status, or duration of visit—must show proof of a negative test upon arrival and before visiting any other buildings on campus. When you arrive on campus, you will be directed to our Parents Weekend check-in station in the Sipprelle Field House. At check-in, all visitors will be asked to do one of the following:
- Show proof of a negative rapid test taken on the day of arrival (OTC rapid tests such as the Binax Now Self Test will be accepted); OR
- Show proof of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of arrival; OR
- Take a rapid test on site (provided by the school) and wait for the result.
On-site arrival rapid testing will be available only during the following windows of time:
- 3:00 - 7:00 PM on Friday, October 22
- 7:30 - 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 23
We will not be able to provide on-site rapid tests upon arrival outside of these windows. Please note that if you do plan to get rapid-tested upon arrival, you may experience a wait for testing and for your results, which may in turn delay your attendance to various Parents Weekend events.
Once you have either tested negative or shown proof of a negative pre-arrival test, you will receive a wristband and all other Parents Weekend check-in materials (a program, tickets for events, etc.) and may proceed to other buildings on campus.
Dining & Off-Campus Trips
Meals will be provided by SAGE Dining Services throughout the weekend. Visitors will be asked to dine under the “big tent” on the Front Lawn; the Dining Hall will be closed for dining for the duration of the weekend. On Saturday night, we invite all families to join us for a food truck party in the Admissions Circle in front of Founders Hall.
If you wish to take your child off campus for a meal, you may do so, but only outdoor restaurant dining is permitted in our current protocol level. Outdoor dining options are limited in this area, and are weather dependent; please see the "Outdoor Dining Options" tab above to review local offerings.
Families are welcome to take students off campus for shopping trips or other excursions, but all visitors and students must remain masked at all times when indoors, both off-campus and on-campus.
Students may not stay overnight with their parents off campus.
Masking
Everyone on campus—visitors, students, faculty, and staff—must wear masks while indoors on campus. The only exception to this rule is when students are in their dorm room with their roommate. Masking is required for all by current Delaware state regulations, and this mandate applies whether you are vaccinated or unvaccinated.
Seating & Ticketing for Events
Seating will be limited for all arts events. Visitors were asked to register in advance to attend these events; event registration is now closed. Registration is required for all events; guests will not be able to attend an event without a ticket. Seating is limited for all arts events, and families are limited to two tickets per event. Seating is not limited at meals, which will be held outdoors under the big tent on the Front Lawn. Upon arrival, you will receive tickets to the events for which you have registered. Additional tickets may be available for some arts events come Parents Weekend, but we cannot guarantee that this will be the case.
If you have questions about tickets or event registration, please contact Alexandra Powell at apowell@standrews-de.org.
Vaccine Status of Visitors
We expect you to be vaccinated if you attend Parents Weekend. If you, or someone in your party, is not vaccinated, we ask that you email Director of Parent Engagement Bernadette Devine at bdevine@standrews-de.org at your earliest convenience, so that we can arrange additional accommodations for you.
