Michael Everhart ’98

 

Michael Lynn Everhart, 39, died July 30, 2019, at Homeland, 20 months after receiving the diagnosis of Glioblastoma, a brain tumor. He was born in Dallas, Texas and grew up in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. He graduated from St. Andrews School and Hamilton College. He was a fund raiser for small and large non-profit organizations spending most of his career in the Washington D.C. area. One of his favorite years was spent on Cape Cod working for AmeriCorps where he made life-long friends. He is survived by his mother and father, Lynn and Wil Everhart of Camp Hill, his brother Wilson Everhart III of St. Michaels, MD, sister-in-law Sarah Everhart, nephew Wilson Christian Everhart IV, and niece Campbell Mae Everhart. He will be remembered by loving aunts and uncles as well as his cousins and many friends far and wide. He was able to say good-bye to many and to hear from them in the closing weeks of his life. A service will be held at St. Stephen's Episcopal Cathedral, 221 N. Front Street, Harrisburg, PA, on August 10 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Andrews School, Middletown, DE, Hamilton College, Clinton NY, or St. Stephen's Episcopal School, Harrisburg, PA.
