Dorothy Ann “Dottie” Taylor, age 70, of Middletown DE, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 26, 2020.  

Dottie was born February 27, 1950, to the late Evan Delaware and Ruby B (Evans) Lloyd, Sr. She was also preceded in death by two siblings, Evan D “Buddy” Lloyd, Jr. and Linda Susan Avrashi. She lost her beloved husband Jinnis Earl “JT” Taylor in 1985.

She was a devoted wife, proud mother, and loving “funny Mom-Mom”. Dottie is survived by her loving son Walter James “Jamie” Taylor and three precious grandchildren, twins Raegan Marie and Zoe Anne, and their brother Ethan James.

In life, Dottie was an employee of St. Andrews School, until she retired and remained on as a long term resident. She was a member of Middletown Baptist Church. She enjoyed family and friends and going to the Senior Center for lunches and holiday parties. Dottie met her best friend and companion of five years, Rob Dolman at the Senior Center gatherings. Dottie is also survived by sisters Ruby Mary Cannon, Jane Marie (Paul) Bowser, Janet Louise Nace, brother Pastor James Frank (Melinda) Chalfant, Jr., and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dottie will be greatly missed by all who love her and enjoyed her happy, cheerful spirit to all. Services will be private due to the COVID-19 virus limitations. Interment will be in Townsend Cemetery.
