JOB DESCRIPTION
St. Andrew’s School seeks a full-time transformational leader and strategic controller. The controller will work collaboratively with the chief financial officer (CFO) to build upon the school’s already strong financial foundation. The controller will oversee the school’s business operations, general accounting, budget planning, and will be responsible for overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and compiling financial reports. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Manages daily accounting activities, including student billing, cash receipts, and general ledger activity.

Develops and implements systems and processes to establish and maintain accurate records while maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Directs the preparation of the budget, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification.
- Assists the CFO in the preparation of reports of disbursements, special analyses, and information reports for school administration and Trustees; develops recommendations for changes and/or improvements, monetary control, and adherence to the budget.
- Develops financial reporting and tracking procedures for school events and fundraising campaigns.
- Works with the Admissions Office on tuition issues during the application and contract processes.
- Manages cash, cash-related receipts, accounts receivable, and collection functions, ensuring timely processing of billings, payments, and collections.
- Reconciles all banking and financial accounts in a timely manner.
- Manages all business office records.
- Works with the CFO in preparing for independent financial and accounting audits.
- Assist in preparing financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts, and statements to understand the financial status of the school.
- Supervises the accounts payable and accounts receivable for staff members.
- Monitors the school’s financial reports and determines ways to reduce costs, find efficiencies and collect payments.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or similar major.

At least five years of relevant experience which may include public or private accounting, business operations, financial reporting, and analysis, or budget oversight and planning.

Ability to communicate effectively with school representatives, parents, students, board members, and representatives from the business community.

Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial software programs.

Ability to supervise and manage multiple functions and activities.

St. Andrew’s School seeks a copywriter & content manager to serve as the primary writer for the school’s website, email newsletters, and admissions marketing materials. As a member of the school’s Communications Office, the content created by the copywriter both supports and executes the school’s overall communications strategy. St. Andrew’s was founded almost a century ago with an unprecedented approach to financial aid and has a long-standing commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the director of communications in creating and executing strategic, forward-looking communications using both traditional and digital media to showcase and build the reputation of St. Andrew’s School.
- Manage a school-wide editorial calendar and strategize the generation and distribution of content across platforms, including a weekly plan for content across school social media channels, in collaboration with the director of communications.
- Primary writer for all SAS website news articles, blog posts, announcements, and other temporal website copy. Generate compelling story ideas, research stories, interview subjects as needed, write and edit all copy, gather relevant images, video, or other digital assets, and post completed stories to the website.
- Manage “posts” module of school website content management system, including search engine optimization of all articles. Collaborate with director of communications on broader website management. Proofread all website copy when pages are updated.
- Write articles for each issue of the St. Andrew’s Magazine, in collaboration with the magazine editor.
- Write all admissions copy (viewbook, small brochures, postcards, and all admissions cycle emails).
- Manage and/or draft all event information & copy on website and in Mailchimp, print materials, and related calendars.
- Build and write all school email newsletters, including the Friday News (current families newsletter), Beyond the Pond (alumni newsletter), and Tuesday News (prospective families newsletter). Draft, edit, and/or manage other Mailchimp communications as needed, in collaboration with director and associate director of communications.
- Serve as managing producer & primary interviewer for the school’s podcast.
- Collaborate with the digital content producer to draft storyboards and serve as interviewer for internally produced videos.
- Serve as backup manager for school social media accounts.
- Serve as primary office proofreader and copyeditor.
- Manage up to four student interns each “season.”
- Assist with office administrative tasks as needed (file management, calendar management, email correspondence, etc).
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum one year of experience as a reporter, writer, editor, or marketing professional required.
- The successful candidate will:
- Be an outstanding writer and editor, capable of producing a large quantity of error-free copy each day for a variety of platforms, with a consistent institutional voice, often on a tight timeline.
- Possess both excellent time management and organization skills and the ability to consistently meet deadlines.
- Have a keen attention to detail, and the ability to see and consider the bigger picture.
- Fluency in Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc) preferred but not required.
- Website management experience preferred but not required.
- This position requires the ability to collaborate with a wide range of campus constituents, including faculty, staff, students, and alumni. The successful candidate will possess both the confidence and the tact to edit the writing of others, to ask clarifying questions, and to suggest fresh approaches.
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment. Collaboration skills are a must.

St. Andrew’s Facilities Department is recruiting for two full-time Facilities Care Technicians working 40-hours a week, year-round with extra hours on a periodic basis. Eligible for staff benefits and competitive salary.
Job Description:
Responsibilities include a variety of tasks, including but not limited to the following: cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning screens and windows, removing garbage, sweeping and mopping floors – working independently or assisting other housekeepers as assigned. Also assist in setting up for special events, which will include moving tables, chairs and furniture. During summer breaks, work involves cleaning dorms and faculty apartments, which may include cleaning refrigerators, ovens, shampooing carpets and scrubbing of tubs and showers.
Position Requirements:
Must be self-motivated and able to follow directions and work with little to no supervision. Ability to move furniture and lift up to 40 pounds. Requires sustained stooping, bending, lifting and the ability to climb and work on ladders. Ability to work well with others as a team player; pleasant personality essential.
Position Qualifications:
Some prior experience in housekeeping. Ability to work cleaning machines.

Position Summary:
Provides health care and services to residential students according to provider prescribed medical care and treatment orders and using established procedures and protocols.
Essential Functions:
- Assists in maintaining medical and health service programs for the School.
- Provides health care services to students according to physician prescribed medical care and treatment orders. Creates and maintains documentation of all treatment and health services activity.
- Maintains and updates student health records. Follows confidentiality and privacy rules and regulations.
- Confers with students, parents, regarding health treatment.
- Interacts with local health agencies and health treatment facilities as necessary.

Job Qualifications:
