Favorite Class/Team/Club/Activity: Definitely soccer. I thought coming in as a new sophomore would have been a difficult experience, but being able to go to preseason that fall calmed all of the nerves I had around school and what it would be like. The team level of commitment both to the sport and to each other was clear from my first step into the locker room, and the people on the soccer team are still some of the best friendships that I have made at SAS.

What I miss the most Due to Virtual Term: I miss being on dorm, and the time we get to spend together after classes. When it’s a lovely day where I could be with the rest of the school on the Front Lawn, I know that we are all missing out on those moments. It is hard.

Community Impact Project: I think SAISL, for me, was terrific. For those who don’t know, SAISL is an indoor soccer league run by students for the whole school that spans throughout the winter term. The team of seniors and faculty put a lot of time and effort into it, which paid off in the end and allowed for a very entertaining season. While it was initially a lot more work than I expected, it was truly amazing to see it all come into action during the final game—the faculty team were upset for the first time in years—and being able to contribute to that moment meant a lot to me.
