What I miss the most Due to Virtual Term: Virtual learning makes me miss the people and being in a community most of all. Zoom calls make me sad, because my family is so close, yet so far. Being in such a close-knit community has changed my life and helped me come out of my shell, and without our community, I’m afraid I will lose these parts of myself. I miss hanging out on the Front Lawn after dinner—that is one of the most special recurring moments at St. Andrew’s. People from every grade hang out all together, playing four square or spike ball.

Favorite SAS memory/tradition/place: My favorite SAS tradition is the Square Dance because it brings the community together so fast in the very beginning of the year. Getting dressed up with my dorm and taking pictures before heading over to the Front Lawn is something so special to me, because it was the first time of the year that we would all get to be together again. Dancing to silly line dance songs with all of my friends, and the entire school, is such an amazing bonding experience. The fact that I can remember details from all four of my Square Dances shows just how much of an impact this tradition has had on me.

Three Words to describe SAS: Life-changing, unforgettable, home.
