Hometown: Irvington, New Jersey
What I miss the most Due to Virtual Term: I miss spending time with my roommate, and with my advisor’s children, Robert and Teddy. I think Abby and I have established ourselves as elite babysitters.
Favorite SAS memory/tradition/place: My favorite SAS tradition is talking to people at the dinner table for the entire evening. I can’t count how many incredible, bizarre, and profound conversations that I’ve had at the Dining Hall tables during and after dinner, both with friends and with people with whom I had never spent much time prior to that particular conversation.
Advice to Underclassmen & Future Students: Your experience is going to be unique because you are unique. Also, don’t make decisions based on how you think colleges will perceive you. Do things for your own intellectual and creative growth.
Long-Term Hopes & Aspirations: I want to live in the world where the right choice is the easiest choice to make. I also would like to be paid for sharing my opinion. I want The New York Times to publish an opinion piece in their culture section about an intellectual feud that I had with a white supremacist professor. And I want to be a librarian after I retire, and make amazing snickerdoodles for myself and my fellow library friends.
