Chapel

As an Episcopal School, we welcome students of any—or no—religious background.

We gather twice weekly for services where all are welcome to take time for spiritual growth, explore what is sacred, and feel part of something larger than themselves. Our community includes students from all world religions and those with no formal religious tradition at all. The chapel is a place of belonging and connection where we gather twice weekly for services, and where we honor, welcome, and celebrate all who join us in our community. We regularly host guest speakers in the chapel and celebrate and share holy festivals and sacred occasions important to students and staff.

Chapel services offer us a time to look inward, to focus on what we have done and left undone, a space to think of loved ones and those in need.

Following Wednesday dinner, all faculty and students gather in the Chapel to hear a St. Andrew's community member deliver a Chapel Talk. Speakers are encouraged to share personal experiences and stories of emotional or spiritual growth.

On Sunday morning, all students and weekend faculty attend Chapel service, which follows the Episcopal Church liturgy. Students who wish to attend other worship services off-campus may do so with a faculty chaperone. We also offer one voluntary service each Friday.

Special programs throughout the year lend variety to our moments of communal reflection, like the beloved Christmas Service of Lessons and Carols, St. Francis Day Blessing of the Animals, and outdoor Earth Day and Easter services.
