About Head Coach Carson Brooks
Carson was born in Waco, Texas, where he lived until he was six years old, when his family moved to Washington Township in the southern part of New Jersey. During his formative years, he participated, and later coached, in youth athletic leagues in his community. Carson attended Cabrini College, and graduated in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science and health promotion.
His first coaching position was for a high school sports spring league, created for kids going into ninth grade at Washington Township High School. Multiple municipalities around the county joined the league, creating a new association to develop future talent for all high schools in the area. Carson coached defensive backs and wide receivers for the league for a number of years, and during this time coached the 10-13 year old age group (120 lb. level) of the Washington Township Minutemen to a South Jersey Elite Championship.
Carson coached youth sports for eleven years prior to joining the coaching staff at St. Andrew's, where he coaches indoor track and football. He is currently in the process of acquiring his Master's in Education from Wilmington University. The quote he lives by every day (which he also likes to pass on to his athletes) is from the great Tim Duncan: "Good, better, best. Never let it rest. Until your good is better and your better is best."
