About Head Coach Megan Altig
A Central Pennsylvania native, Megan Altig was a four-year First Team All-Conference Player for her high school soccer team. As a senior captain, she was named the Daily Item’s Player of the Year, All-State, and NSCAA All-Region. Altig won three district titles, two Conference titles, and made three appearances in the PIAA Girls State Soccer Tournament. She went on to play soccer at Penn State University, where she graduated in 2011 with a degree in kinesiology with an emphasis on movement science. As a Nittany Lion, Altig was a four-year starter and served as captain her senior year. During her tenure, her team won four Big Ten championships, one Big Ten Tournament Championship, and made four trips to the NCAA tournament.
With four seasons of coaching St. Andrew’s girls soccer under her belt, Altig will be head coach beginning with the 2025 team. Altig helped lead the 2024 squad to unprecedented success. The team finished the season at 13-3-1, setting records along the way for most wins and most shutouts in a season, and securing an appearance in the state playoffs for only the second time in school history. The team made it to the semi-final round.
