Matt graduated from Middlebury College in 2009. He earned a B.A. in French and a minor in Arabic, graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He played varsity basketball and spent a semester in France at the Université de Paris. Matt was awarded the French department’s Stephen A. Freeman Memorial Prize and received the John M. McCardell Public Service Award for his work with the Addison County Special Olympics Basketball team.
Prior to his teaching at St. Andrew’s, Matt served as the US Liaison Officer and Assistant to the Headmaster for Special Projects for King's Academy (Jordan). Matt also taught French, coached basketball and volleyball, and ran a dorm on campus for three years.
Matt has taught Arabic for Global Online Academy and French at Groton School (MA). He also earned a master's degree from Peabody College of Education at Vanderbilt University.
Matt lives on Fleming corridor with his wife, Hadley. In his free time, Matt loves to read, learn languages, play sports, and make art.
