Coaches
About Head Coach Matt Edmonds
After playing on a state championship team in high school, Matt knew that he wanted to become a baseball coach. Matt began coaching while still in graduate school, assisting with an American Legion baseball team that went 53-16 and won the Alabama State Championship. Since 2008, he has taught and coached at boarding and day schools in North Carolina, Virginia, and Florida. His most memorable coaching experiences include his 2013 team finishing 24-1, going undefeated in the regular season before losing narrowly in the semifinal to the eventual state champion, and his 2019 team pulling off a gutsy “David vs. Goliath” win over the #12 team in the nation.
