The varsity wrestling team traveled to the Charter School of Wilmington over the weekend, competing in the Independent Conference Championships. Tyler Wood ’21, wrestling in the very competitive 138-pound bracket, placed fourth and automatically qualified for the DIAA State Tournament next weekend. Wood wrestled extremely well all weekend, only suffering losses to the 2019 state champion and a narrow 4-3 defeat in his third-place match. Theo Taylor ’21 and Nick Osbourne ‘23 will also represent St. Andrew's at the 2020 DIAA State Tournament as Taylor placed fifth in the 120-pound bracket while Osbourne earned a 7th place finish in the 132-pound bracket.
