The girls varsity cross country team participated in the New Castle County Championships on Saturday afternoon, placing 12th amongst 23 high schools from the State of Delaware. Charlotte Gehrs ’20 was the first Saint to cross the finish line, placing 34th amongst 169 competitors. Emily Boyer ’21 recorded a strong time of 23:14 while Leandre Pestcoe ’19 finished nine seconds behind her. Sofie Neil ’19 and Kathryn Rickert ’19 each performed well as Neil clocked in at 23:45 while Rickert finished in 24:07.

The Saints will travel to Brandywine Creek State Park to compete in the Division Two State Championships next Saturday. Their race is scheduled to begin at 1:40 p.m. Go Saints!
