sixth place finish as a team (out of 34 teams)

The Saints girls cross-country team participated in the Joe O’Neill Invitational on Friday afternoon, competing against 34 schools from across the state of Delaware. St. Andrew’s, racing to an impressive 6th place finish, was led by Emma Tapscott ’18 who ran to a time of 20:29, good enough for 22nd place overall. Right behind her was Charlotte Gehrs ’19 who came in 31st place with the strong time of 20:49. Rounding out the top three runners for the Saints was Captain Elisa Davila ’18 who came in 39th place with an impressive time of 21:08.

The Saints will have a quick turnaround as they will compete in the Delaware Independent Schools Conference tournament at Tatnall School on Wednesday afternoon. The varsity and JV girls runners are set to race at 4:20 p.m.
