A native of Chatham, N.J., Dan discovered his interest in biology and running at Chatham Township High School. He graduated in 1990 from Haverford College, where he competed on the track and cross-country teams and majored in biology.
Dan went on to earn a master’s degree in molecular biology from the University of Colorado in 1992. He then worked for a biotechnology start-up where he focused on pharmaceutical drug discovery. Each summer Dan returns to the lab where he has worked on therapeutic and diagnostic programs of a biotechnology company.
In his free time Dan particularly enjoys running and reading. Dan and his wife Quinn live with their three children, Liam ’19, Finn, and Rowan, at Hickory Point on Noxontown Pond.
