A Delaware native, Navanjali graduated from John Dickinson High School, and then pursued her deep interest in art at Syracuse University. She spent her junior year in Florence, Italy, painting, studying art history, and immersing herself in the rich Italian culture. Navanjali graduated in 2005 with a BFA in Painting.
Upon graduation, Navanjali attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA, and completed an MA in Art Education. She then taught art at Tower Hill School in Wilmington, DE for nine years, and had the pleasure of sharing her passion for art with students in their Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools. During her time at Tower Hill, Navanjali was active as an advisor, a member of Faculty Fund to Aid Students, and developed a community art program with a local elementary school. Navanjali has also taught at the Center for the Creative Arts in Yorklyn, Delaware, and the Delaware Art Museum. She is currently working towards her MFA at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.
Navanjali has exhibited her oil and watercolor paintings in numerous local solo and group exhibitions. Her work can be viewed at navanjali.com.
Additionally, Navanjali enjoys the culinary arts, traveling, knitting, sewing, and spending time with her family. She lives in Elkton, Maryland with her husband, Will, and her sons, Arjun and Aavir.
