Bowman grew up on the campus of St. Paul's School in Concord, NH, so he is not only accustomed to living in a small state without a sales tax, but also considers boarding school his natural environment. After growing up on campus, he attended St. Paul's School and graduated in 2005. There, he played lacrosse, ran cross country and helped start an improv troupe.
Bowman attended the University of Virginia where he majored in Mathematics and Arabic, graduating in 2009. After graduating, he followed his parents into the family business by joining the faculty of a boarding school. He moved to Jordan to teach Mathematics and Physics at King's Academy where he also coached swimming, advised the student newspaper and ran one of the student dorms. In the four years that he lived there, Bowman worked hard to improve his Arabic and traveled widely around the Middle East. He returned to the United States to earn a master's degree from the Klingenstein Center for Independent School Leadership at Columbia University in 2014.
Bowman loves reading, running, traveling and has a host of random interests like origami.
