Class of 2020 College Counseling Calendar

October 2018

Wednesday, October 10: Take PSATs at St. Andrew's School.

November 2018

Saturday, November 17: Attend SAS College Program for V Form students and their parents (held at St. Andrew's).

December 2018

Work with your parents to schedule a visit or two to a college convenient to your location and plans over Winter Break and/or winter Long Weekend.

Personal questionnaire (available in Naviance) due back to the College Counseling office when you return from Winter Break.

First meeting with college counselor.

Saturday, December 1: Take SATs at St. Andrew's.

Saturday, December 8: Take ACTs at St. Andrew's.

February 2019

Arrange your Spring Break college visits. Choose a variety of schools that will allow you to experience a range of sizes, locations, types, and environments of colleges.

Saturday, February 9: Take ACTs at St. Andrew's (optional).

March 2019

Research and/or visit colleges, and take excellent notes!

Saturday, March 9: Take SATs at home (optional; this test occurs over our spring break).

April 2019

Meet with counselor to discuss your spring break visits, and produce a list of schools for you to further research and discuss with your parents.

Saturday, April 6: Take ACTs at St. Andrew's (optional).

May 2019

Meet with your counselor to finalize a list of colleges that matches your interests and review your senior year curriculum.

Ask your parents to help you make plans for summer trips to visit the colleges on your list.

If you are being recruited for athletics, fill out NCAA registration forms online.

Take Advanced Placement exams in selected courses.

Saturday, May 4: Take SATs at St. Andrew's (optional)

June 2019

Register for the fall 2019 SAT Reasoning and Subject Tests (administered in October and November), and/or for the fall 2019 ACT test (administered in September).

Saturday, June 1: Take SATs at St. Andrew's School (optional). Summer vacation begins.

Saturday, June 8: Take ACTs at home (optional).
