Olympic rower Dominic Seiterle ’94 was back on campus this weekend to speak with student-athletes and join us for a christening of the new crew shell that has been named in his honor. Dominic began his rowing career at St. Andrew's, where he was in the boat with current boys rowing Head Coach Will Porter ’96. "He was a brilliant rower at St. Andrew's and Dartmouth," Coach Porter said, "but is most famous for sitting in the six seat in the Canadian Men's eight in the 2008 Olympics. It's hard to watch that race without getting chills." (You can watch the race he speaks of here.) He has also won gold medals at the 2007 World Rowing Cup regattas, the 2007 Henley Royal Regatta, and was 2006 Canadian National Rowing Gold medalist in the single scull.
