Saints Squash Notches Wins at Nationals

Boys and girls varsity squash competed at US Squash High School Nationals in Connecticut over the first weekend in February. The boys placed third in Division V, winning three of their four matches, while the girls placed second in the Division V consolation round.

In their draw, Saints boys varsity squash bested Westminster School 4-3 in the first round of 16, St. George's School 5-2 in the quarterfinal round, fell 6-1 to St. Mark's in semifinals, the beat Millbrook School 4-3 in the 3/4 final match. Girls varsity squash lost their first match in the main Division V draw to Buckingham Browne & Nichols School, then moved on to the consolation round, where they topped Lancaster County Day School 6-1 in the first round of 7, beat Riverdale 4-3 in the seminfinals, and ultimately fell to The Hill School 5-2 in the final.
