Final Four Bound!

After a sluggish start, the St. Andrew’s basketball team found its rhythm in the second half and outscored John Dickinson High School 41-28 en route to a 66-52 victory in the DIAA Quarterfinals. Frankie Koblish ’22 scored a team-high 26 points, connecting on four three-point field goals that helped spark the Saints. “Once my three hits, I think it really helps the team,” stated Koblish, whose 26 points is a season-high. “We really build off that. It gives us good energy.” Adrian Watts ’20 continued his impressive play inside, scoring 21 points on the afternoon.

With their victory on Saturday, the Saints set the record for most wins in a season (17) and have become the first boys basketball team in school history to reach the Final Four. St. Andrew’s will compete for a spot in the State Championship game on Thursday evening when they take on Dover High School at the Bob Carpenter Center in Newark, Delaware. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
