Adrian Watts ’20 Named One of Top Football Players in the State
Patrick Moffitt

Adrian Watts ’20 has been ranked by the Delaware News Journal as the #1 wide receiver, the #2 linebacker and the #5 overall football player in the state of Delaware heading into his senior season. Adrian (seen here with Head Coach Pat Moffitt and teammate Brandon Graves ’22) is coming off a strong junior season during which he contributed on offense in every possible way for the Saints, playing wide receiver, quarterback, running back, and tight end. He racked up over 1,200 yards of total offense and 12 total touchdowns in eight games in 2018. On defense Adrian has been the backbone of the team at his outside linebacker position in all three of his seasons. Last year he led the team with 67 total tackles and 12 tackles for a loss in his eight games played. At the conclusion of each of his three seasons, Adrian has been recognized as an All-Conference wide receiver. He has also been recognized as an All-Conference linebacker his past two seasons. Take an in-depth look at why Adrian chose St. Andrew's, and his experiences as both a student and an athlete here, in this News Journal profile on "the best-kept secret in Delaware high school football".

Two other Saints football players were also recognized by the News Journal this pre-season: Brandon Graves ’22 (seen here at right) and Phineas Hunt ’22 (not pictured) were both named as "defensive linemen to watch", while Hunt was also named as an "offensive lineman to watch".

The Saints kick off their 2019 season on Friday, September 6 at 7:00 p.m. against Morrisville High School in Morrisville, PA.
