Kellie Doucette
Kellie is an alumna of St. Andrew’s (Class of 1988). Kellie’s three children also attended St. Andrew’s; her daughter Ashlie graduated in 2021, and her twins Christian and James graduated in 2018. Kellie received her A.B. in Economics from Harvard in 1992 and completed her Associateship of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) in 1999.
Kellie began her career in the health policy field, and went on to work for many years as an actuary in the individual disability and long-term care reinsurance markets in the United States and Bermuda. In 2016 she shifted her career focus to politics, starting with local political campaigns. Kellie eventually accepted a position as the Constituency Director on her first congressional campaign for Representative Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11) in 2018.
Kellie served as a District Director for New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District for more than six years beginning in January 2019. In this role, she oversaw the operations of the District Office, coordinated with the legislative team in DC, and managed constituent and political outreach in Morris and Sussex Counties for the Congresswoman. She worked closely with local officials on a bipartisan basis to identify and address a wide variety of issues such as flooding, water infrastructure, superfund remediation, public safety, housing affordability, mental health, reproductive health, economic development, veterans health care, and support for the local military installation. Her responsibilities also included strategic planning and overseeing the budget processes for the team.
Kellie is a member of the Board of Ibis Reproductive Health, where she serves as the Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee. Kellie grew up in Erie, Pa., but now lives in Harding, N.J., with her husband John; their three children James, Christian, and Ashlie; and their rescue dogs Stryder and Rexie. Prior to moving to New Jersey in 2008, the Doucette family lived in Bermuda for 13 years.
