Sarah joined the St. Andrew’s Board of Trustees in 2014. Her husband Tim is a former member. Tim, now retired, previously served as the CEO of Belk, Inc. Sarah and Tim have five children, Adelaide ’06, Thomas, Katherine (Peanut) ’09, Margaret ’12, and Louisa ’16. Sarah is dedicated to the Charlotte community having served on numerous boards, including those of the Anne Spring Close Greenway and the Charlotte Merchant Foundation. From 2010 to 2016, Sarah co-founded and ran the Common Grounds Farm Stand, a community farm stand run by volunteers, with proceeds going to Charlotte’s Urban Ministry Center.

Sarah and Tim are currently transitioning their farm, located in Chester, SC, into an organic and sustainable operation and have hired their daughter Peanut to oversee its marketing, finance, and operations.
