Covid-19 Information & Updates
We are continually monitoring the latest developments in the outbreak of COVID-19, particularly with regard to those developments that may affect the students, families, faculty, and staff at St. Andrew’s. We encourage you to utilize this page as a central resource for information on coronavirus and our school's response to the outbreak.
If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions as to how St. Andrew's is responding to the coronavirus outbreak, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
April 2: Head of School Tad Roach announces St. Andrew's will remain in virtual term for the remainder of this academic year. Read the full announcement here.
March 18: Virtual learning will begin Monday, March 23. Details on virtual learning, including a daily class schedule, required apps, and grading, can be found in this letter. All students should fill our this short survey to tell us what you might need to best equip yourself for distance learning.
March 10: Students' return from Spring Break has been suspended until further notice. We will begin a virtual teaching & learning program on March 23. Further information on virtual learning will be shared with parents and students via email and on this page over the next two weeks.
March 10: Spring preseason sports camps have been cancelled.
March 10: Parents, if you have the room and ability to support one or two of our international students who have stayed on campus over Spring Break, please contact Dean of Student Life Will Robinson at email@example.com.
March 6: Our 2020 Grandparents & Special Friends Day, scheduled for Saturday, March 21, has been postponed.
March 6: All members of the community (faculty, staff, and student body) should fill out this confidential community questionnaire to establish spring travel, provide health updates, and to determine whether any members of our community has stayed with relatives or friends who traveled outside of the United States within two weeks of that community member’s visit. This information is only shared with St. Andrew’s Health Services. Such a survey provides the School with an immediate sense of any health issues or travel contacts that may be of concern. Parents, please respond prior to your child's return to campus, at least several days before your child arrives on campus.
March 6: Members of the community who have traveled either to or from a CDC Level 2 or Level 3 designated country during Spring Break (or in the coming weeks) will need to quarantine themselves off campus for a 14-day period.
March 5: We will screen all students who travel globally during the vacation as they return from Spring Break. Screening includes a temperature check, observing and asking about respiratory symptoms (cough, difficulty breathing, sore throat), other symptoms of illness and general appearance.
Please do not allow your child to return to campus if he/she/they are ill. Please report any illness your child experiences over the break to our Health Center. We will screen students who have been ill before they return to the community.
February 26: We are honored to host students from Level 3 countries over the course of Spring Break.
February 26: We understand that no St. Andrew’s students, faculty, or staff plan trips to Level 2 or Level 3 countries during Spring Break.
