Kevin discerned his call to the priesthood and received his Masters in Divinity from The General Theological Seminary in New York. He then accepted the call to become Rector of Grace Episcopal Church in Paris, Tennessee, in 2007. He was called to serve as Rector at the Church of the Holy Comforter in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2010, and inspired growth in the breadth and impact of ministries in, with, and to the wider community. While there he led the steady growth of parish membership and annual giving. When serving as Rector at the Church of the Holy Comforter in Charlotte, North Carolina, Kevin was engaged in the city and in the Diocese. He had served on the clergy advisory council of MeckMin Interfaith Network, and on the boards of Trinity Episcopal School and La Escuelita Weekday School. He is a past Board member and Executive Committee member of Loaves and Fishes of Mecklenburg County and an alumnus of Leadership Charlotte (Class XXXIII). Kevin served as the Dean of the diocese’s Charlotte Convocation, and was an active member of multiple diocesan committees.
Kevin’s wife, Caroline, is also a Duke graduate and is an accomplished artist. Kevin and Caroline have two college-age daughters. Kevin enjoys jogging and reading, though not at the same time.
Kevin was ordained and consecrated the 11th bishop of Delaware on December 9, 2017, by the Most Rev. Michael B. Curry, Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, at Delaware State University in Dover.
