Laurisa led Teach For America Delaware as Executive Director for six years and remains an active advocate for educational equity and leadership. She currently serves on the boards of St. Andrew’s School, Teach For America Delaware, the Harvard Club of Delaware, Leadership Delaware, and the University of Delaware’s College of Education. Before moving to Delaware, Laurisa worked in Hong Kong for seven years first for a Fortune 500 company, and then for herself, launching and running an international feathered accessories business. She has a B.A. from Harvard University in East Asian Studies and a Master of Philosophy in Chinese from Cambridge University. Laurisa spends her time with her husband Porter, their three daughters (including Ryann ’18), and their four dachshunds.
