Coast to Coast Toasts

Join us for our 13th annual Coast to Coast Toast, our worldwide celebration of St. Andrew's, our people, and the spirit of our School. Once a year, on one night, every St. Andrean is invited to celebrate the common ground that connects us all, and raise a glass to the Founder of our School, A. Felix duPont.

This year's Toast will be held on Thursday, April 13. In early 2017, look for more information in your inbox, mailbox, and on this page about a Toast event in your area. Interesting in hosting a 2017 Toast event? Email alum@standrews-de.org today!

Commencement

Commencement ceremonies for the Class of 2017 will occur on Wednesday, May 24 and Thursday, May 25.

Commencement events begin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, with a reception at the home of Tad & Elizabeth Roach for graduates and their families. Dinner follows at 7:00 p.m. At 8:30 p.m., we have an Awards Ceremony in the Sipprelle Field House to celebrate the academic, artistic and athletic work of the students. The evening concludes with a film tribute to the senior class. On Thursday, May 25, the Chapel service is at 10:00 a.m., and Commencement is at 11:00 a.m. on the Front Lawn. Lunch follows the graduation.

The traditional dress for Commencement is white dresses for your daughters and white slacks, blue shirts, navy blazers and School ties for your sons. The 50th reunion class has donated a School tie or a silver SAS cross for each member of the Class of 2017.

We ask you to limit attendance at two of the graduation events. First, for the Headmaster's reception and dinner on Wednesday evening, May 24, we ask that you limit attendance to six people, in addition to your son or daughter. For the Chapel service on Thursday morning, May 25, we ask that no more than four guests attend for each graduate.

There is no limit for the number of guests at the Awards Ceremony on Wednesday evening or at the Commencement exercises and luncheon on Thursday. Your child will be given ten invitations/announcements in April to invite family and friends to Commencement. Extra invitations will be available as needed.

We look forward to welcoming you in May. Visit our Getting to Campus page for more info on local accommodations and options for traveling to SAS.
