Technology Faculty Attend edACCESS 2012

Peter Hoopes and Dave Myers traveled to New Jersey in late June to attend edACCESS 2012, an annual conference focused on sharing information and support for school independent school and college technology directors and network managers.
The conference is largely made up of morning roundtables attended by all 75 attendees before breaking into peer sessions that allow technologists from schools to present, share and moderate discussions around topics pertinent to the independent school world. Sample peer sessions this year included cloud storage capabilities, technology and pedagogy and 21st Century literacies in media, digital and tech.
Peter Hoopes has served on the edACCESS steering committee since St. Andrew’s hosted the annual conference in 2007 and 2008. “It was four days of good learning and networking with other technology directors and network managers from boarding schools across the country," said Peter. "Dave and I look forward to sharing our learnings with our colleagues back on campus."
