Boys JV Lacrosse Loses 6-5 to Tower Hill (Boys JV Lacrosse)
Posted April 24, 2012
The boys' JV lacrosse team opened the home part of their schedule on Thursday against Tower Hill School. The Hilliers jumped out to a quick two goal lead before Spencer Peet scored the first St. Andrew's goal just before the end of the first quarter. Two more goals by Tower Hill followed and it looked like they would pull away. However, Ted Park scored the second SAS goal just before the half on a long shot from outside the restraining box into an empty net. The third quarter saw each team trade a goal, the St. Andrew's goal was scored by Bobby Miller. After one more Tower Hill goal made the score 6-3 early in the fourth quarter, Bobby Miller scored two more goals to make the score 6-5 with just 1:32 left on the clock. Unfortunately the Saints were unable to secure the ball on the next face-off and Tower Hill was able to run out the clock for the win. Anthony Holley played well in the goal recording 6 saves. The defensive unit of John Klein, Sam Gowen, and Henry Martellier have shown great improvement since the first game.e
