Blood Drive Continues Growing Tradition on Campus

Posted April 13, 2012

It was another great year for the Annual St. Andrew’s Blood Drive with 56 usable pints of blood donated in the daylong event organized with the Blood Bank of Delmarva. Many overcame their fears and gave for the first time while others continued the growing tradition on campus.

The Delmarva Blood Bank services 16 hospitals in Delaware and Maryland’s Eastern Shore and needs more than 350 blood donors every day to meet the needs of patients at those hospitals. Each pint (or donor) can save three lives.

There is still time to join the St. Andrew’s team as we pull together for more donations. Parents, alumni and friends in the Delmarva area are encouraged to visit their local Blood Bank of Delmarva donation center and make a hero donation on behalf of St. Andrew’s.
