Boys and Girls Basketball Compete in State Tournament (Boys Varsity Basketball, Girls Varsity Basketball)

For the first time in more than a decade, both the boys and girls basketball teams will compete in the Delaware High School Basketball Tournament. The girls will play #9 Seaford High School in Seaford on Tuesday night with tip-off scheduled for 7:00pm. The girls finished the regular season with a 12-8 record and earned the #24 seed in the tournament. They are led by seniors Grace Saliba, Libby Lakeman, Sola Farquhar, Nina Labovich and sophomore sensation Janee Dennis.

The boys earned the #5 seed in the tournament, finishing the regular season with a school record tying 16 wins against just 3 losses. The top eight seeds earn a bye in the first round. On Friday evening the St. Andrew's boys basketball team will play in the 2nd round of the state basketball tournament. They will play Polytech (17-3) at Middletown High School at 7:00pm. Tickets for this game cost $5 at the door - as it is a DIAA sponsored event.
