Mr. Peter Marshall Cadwallader Hoopes

Peter returned to his alma mater after working in New York City as a music producer and engineer. During his student years at St. Andrew’s, Peter was active in varsity football, varsity baseball, band and the concert choir. He graduated magna cum laude in 1989 and was awarded the Mathematics Prize, the Scott Science Prize and the Choir Prize.
Peter continued his studies at the College of Wooster. He graduated with honors in 1993, earning a B.A. in music composition with a mathematics minor. Peter received his M.M. in 1995 from the University of Miami, where he was a teaching assistant in the music media department. His studies focused on using the computer as a compositional tool and producing music for film and television.
As the School’s technology director, Peter oversees all academic and administrative data systems and policies. In 2002, he started the school's Film Studies program and teaches music composition. He has coached the Boys Tennis team for eight years winning two Delaware state championships in that time.
In his spare time, Peter enjoys golf, basketball, tennis and writing and producing films and music. Peter lives with his wife, Sarah, and his daughters, Ingrid, Sophie and Claire, in nearby Middletown.
