The St. Andrew’s girls swim team had an outstanding day on Saturday afternoon as they defeated their conference rival Tower Hill by a final score of 99-71. Ryann Schutt ’18 and Sarah Caron ’19 both won individual events for the Saints. Schutt, in her first meet of the 2017-18 season, won the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:15.70. With her performance, Schutt became the 13th Saint to qualify for the state tournament. Caron, already a state qualifier, won the 100 backstroke in 1:03.45.
Carrying the Saints to victory were their three relay teams, all of whom took first place with impressive performances. The 200 medley relay team won with a strong time of 1:59.90 while the 200 and 400 free relay teams won with times of 1:52.45 and 4:03.44. The Saints, who improved to 1-2 with the win, will play host to Archmere on Tuesday afternoon at 4pm.
