fifth place finish as a team

The St. Andrew’s girls cross-country team traveled to Killens Pond State Park on Saturday afternoon to take place in the Division II State Championship Meet and compete against 18 schools across the state of Delaware. Leading the Saints to an impressive fifth place finish (122 points) was Charlotte Gehrs ’20; she finished 14th overall with a time an impressive time of 20:15. Right behind Gehrs were Emma Tapscott ’18 and Captain Elisa Davila ’18, who capped off their outstanding SAS running careers with 18th and 23rd place finishes. Rounding out the remaining Saints runners were Captain Alex Hopkins ’18, Ann Yancey Bassett ’19, Leandre Pestcoe ’19 and Emily Boyer ’20 who finished 29th, 50th, 52nd and 73rd out of a strong field of 149 runners.
