Tuition and Financial Aid

Frequently Asked Questions

Q.Does St. Andrew's offer merit scholarships?

A.No, we do not offer scholarships based on a student's academic, athletic, or other talent. All of our scholarships are based on need as determined by the financial aid application and committee review.

Q. Does St. Andrew's offer financial aid to international students?

A.Because we would be collecting financial documentation from different economic systems, it is difficult to determine a fair and appropriate grant for an international student. Financial aid is awarded to international students only in special situations.

Q. Will returning students receive the same amount of aid for each year at St. Andrew's?

A.Unless your situation has changed greatly, your financial aid grant will remain relatively the same each year. The financial aid process must be completed each year that a student attends St. Andrew's.

Q. How many people will view a family's financial information?

A.The financial aid documentation we receive is held in the strictest confidence. The financial aid committee (three members) will review each family's financial documentation and, on occasion, consult with the Headmaster.

Q.Do the faculty and students know which students receive financial aid? Do students receiving financial aid have any distinctive obligations or standards different than full tuition students?

A.Absolutely not. One of the benefits of St. Andrew's long historical commitment to socio-economic diversity is the fact that the School has always been, first and foremost, a community, a group of young men and women who work to develop a School culture that celebrates human excellence. At St. Andrew's, each student will find great support, challenge, acceptance and good will. We have no labels for students. The notion of a scholarship student or a full pay student is completely foreign to the culture of the School.
