Applying to St. Andrew's

The application process can seem like an intimidating task.  You can apply to St. Andrew's by following these simple steps.

  1. Contact us to join our mailing list. We will send you our viewbook and application information as well as information about upcoming admissions events in your area.

  2. Come visit St. Andrew's . A visit includes a tour of the campus and an interview with a member of the Admission Committee. If time permits, we welcome you to stay for lunch or visit a class. Allow at least two hours for your visit. Call the Admission Office at 302.285.4231 to schedule a tour and interview; visits are scheduled on weekdays when classes meet and on some Saturday mornings.

  3. Download, print and mail your application by January 15 (or Jan 1 for international applicants). Please ask your school to forward the math and English teacher recommendations and your transcript to the Admission Office by January 31.  If you have difficulty accessing and printing our application please contact the Admission Office and we will gladly mail you a hard copy.  If you choose, you may also submit alternate applications such as a printed copy of the SSAT Standard Online Application, The TABS Common Application, or the Gateway Candidate Profile.

  4. Register for and take the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT). Be sure to request that your scores be reported to St. Andrew's (#6280).

  5. Keep in touch with St. Andrew's. Completed application files are reviewed by the Admission Committee during January and February. Decisions are mailed on March 10 and accepted students are expected to reply by April 10. While you are waiting, don't hesitate to call us if you have any questions or updated information for us.
