Reflections on the St. Andrew's Experience

"On visit back day, Mr. Roach talked about the issue that bothered me about what the other high schools were saying about why we go to school.  He said that at St. Andrew's, we understand that we don't come to high school to get a "good" education, to go to a "good" college, and to get a "good" job.  We go to boarding school, specifically St. Andrew's, so that we can learn how to think so that we can change the world in big and small ways.  It was when he said this that I realized that St. Andrew's was the place for me.  I realized that this place could help me harness the power we all have to help others, be successful, and make the world a better place."

"Every school likes to boast that they have a strong community, but by choosing to be 100% boarding, St. Andrew's students are not split into two groups: boarders and day students.  St. Andrew's students are able to get to know each other better without the social pressures of the outside world."
