St. Andrew's Teaching Intern Program

St. Andrew’s is dedicated to inspiring and cultivating the next generation of great independent school teachers and leaders.  Our Teaching Intern Program provides young teachers with the opportunity to work intensively in all aspects of boarding school life under the mentorship of the Headmaster and distinguished faculty.

St. Andrew’s interns typically teach two or three classes, coach in our athletic program during three seasons and live in School dormitory apartments as members of our residential staff.  They participate in all aspects of boarding school life including community service, advising and weekend work.

Interns’ salaries are competitive.  Benefits include, meals in the dining hall when School is in session, medical and dental insurance and moving expenses.

We are currently accepting applications for two teaching intern positions for the 2012-2013 academic year: one in our Mathematics Department and one for a Spanish teacher in our Modern Language Department.

Interested candidates should send a letter of introduction, current resume and list of references to Dean of Faculty Tom Fritz.
