Saints JV Baseball Team Pulls Off Largest Comeback Win in SAS Baseball History
Bob Colburn & Liz Torrey

On Monday afternoon, St. Andrew's JV boys baseball team notched a remarkable come-from-behind win against Tatnall School. The Saints recovered from a 13-2 deficit in the bottom of the 5th inning with 12 runs to take a 14-13 lead that they maintained for the remainder of the game. This is the largest comeback in SAS baseball history. Solid line drive hits by Ji Won Park '18, Owen Stegeman '20, Logan Brown '19, Leo Qiao '18, Ethan Paradee '20, and Adrian Watts '20 led a strong offensive effort. Patient at-bats by Charlie Cahill '19, Lamar Duncan '20, and Steven Ding '20, led to walks. Tim Odutola '20 and Messiah DeSisso '20 forced defensive mistakes by our opponents. In the top of the 6th, Owen came in to pitch and struck out all three batters for the victory. All players had stolen bases—the team also broke the School record for most stolen bases in a single game—advanced on wild pitches, and had a great deal of fun. Great job!
